Since FestBaby will be here in a few weeks, Martin and I decided to head out this weekend and pick up some important baby items. Unfortunately, Germany doesn’t have an abundance of “baby-marts” like in the United States, and we knew ahead of time that things are a little pricier over here, but we learned there was a baby store in a nearby village, so we headed to it.
Once again, I was spoiled in celebration of my birth, although everything was much more subdued compared to last year’s “Best Weekend Ever.”
When I woke up, the kids brought me breakfast in bed. Miss C and our nanny Wynter lovingly prepared a diabetic-friendly breakfast tray of eggs and toast, beautifully granished with flowers from our garden. In keeping with the celebration of life and abundance that brought along FestBaby, Martin and I have begun the process of arranging for the cord blood and stem cells to be donated after delivery, to be used for cancer treatment and medical research.
