Ahhhhhnnd we’re off! Like pumpkin spice and Ugg boots, it just wouldn’t be the fall season without our first school-borne illness. Pretty sure our asthmatic has the croup. Always a little tricky to pinpoint such things with him, but nevertheless, he’s got meds, he’s got blankets, he’s got a Mom with an ear for all things wheezy.
Setting my weekday alarm clock for anything later than 5:30 a.m. is absolutely an example of relentless optimism that I may, indeed, need to be roused from a deep and restful sleep. Ha! As if I really need the help getting up so early! Thanks to the baby and these three earlybirds who can’t wait to get to school, I really don’t need the alarm. Continue reading

This kid just notified me that he’s got a loose tooth.

I confirmed that yes, his bottom tooth, right in front, is very loose.
A staggered school schedule means she had her baby brother all to herself for a little while this morning! They were both singing some vowel sounds when I snapped the pic. 🎶🎶🎶
At one point this weekend, my daughter led our relatives to believe that German Shepherd dogs are merely called Shepherds over here because, clearly, they are already in Germany.
