Together With Family

This is a photo of Martin’s mother with her seven grandchildren, taken earlier today when we attended the baptism reception for our newest little niece.

It was the first time we met Carola’s little girl. You can’t tell from here, but Junior (who is 11 weeks older) looks like a giant compared to his month-old cousin. His Oma ’bout had a heart attack when she saw him again for the first time in two months.

“What have you been feeding him!?” she asked. As it stands, our baby is more than double the weight of his cousin, and a lot longer, too. I got a little nervous when Martin’s mom, brother, and sister all reacted in disbelief over how much he’s grown since they last saw him. All three of them are over 6’2″.

In honor of his cousin, he wore pink.

Oh, by the way, this guy lost his tooth a few days ago, but just NOW let me get a good photo of it!

I’m still pretty bummed that Europeans haven’t figured out cup holders for their vehicles. They DO have McD drinks via drive-thru, but they are paper, the largest is an American medium, and no ice.
