All the Rest

I can see a few new wrinkles on my face, and more silver in my mane. This month was brutal. I didn’t get in a single run and survived on shit convenience food as my focus zeroed in on my son, then the rest of the family, then work, then school, and then whatever else I needed to stack on top of my own wellbeing.

Martin took the kids and visited his family this weekend, and I rested. Literally slept for hours. Cleaned. Drank coffee in silence and finished it while it was still warm. Prepared my meals and added some run time to my schedule. I’m glad we’re almost done with March, even though April is going to be crazy, too, but I’m ready for it.
